After 12 years in Scouting, it is finally coming to an end! I am down to the last couple months.
The final project that I needed to accomplish was the Eagle Scout Service Project. This project has to help out a non-profit or local community; I chose to design and build an outdoor fire pit at the local community park here in Connoquenessing.
I planned and designed and purchased the equipment and materials needed over the past few months. Then, on Oct 18th, 19th and 26th, a team of friends and family helped to construct it. I have over 40 hours in the process; the volunteers who came to help those few days donated about 120 hours of their time to help me out… I really, really appreciate everyone’s support!!!
This fire pit is complete and “open for business” to all residents of Connoquenessing and surrounding communities… it should last for many, many years to come!
I really could not have completed this project without our friends and family – thanks again!!
